On the 5th of July, Metronomia spent a day working in the asylum-seekers' hostel Landsbergerstr. 412 , Munich, where 200 residents from 20 nationalities, including almost 100 children, live.

Metronomia engaged the well-known Munich graffiti-artist “Loomit” to redesign the buildings’ external façade together with Metronomia team members and the kids. Common rooms got a new paint, a large number of broken bicycles were repaired, a common kitchen was fixed, the garden was put in order and a number of berry bushes were planted. The kids were delighted about numerous donated toys and clothes.

In reverse, the inhabitants cooked a delicious meal for Metronomia and the kids showed traditional dances.

At the end of the day, it was a great joy for everyone involved to see the results of the work done and a precious intercultural experience to be taken home.
